How to apply to MITRA

The MITRA Master’s degree is a study program open to applicants holding a Bachelor’s degree in the social sciences and/or humanities (sociology, psychology, communication, political science, history, law, etc.). Since the MITRA program is bilingual, applicants must have proficiency in both French and English. A Bachelor's degree completed entirely in English or French may serve as proof of proficiency in that language. Applicants’ written and oral skills in both French and English will be assessed throughout the admissions process.

The application and recruitment schedule is as follows:

  • October 17, 2025: Opening of the online application (Phase 1)
  • January 18, 2026: Deadline for submitting applications online
  • January 19-31, 2026: Evaluation of individual application files
  • February 2026: Admission interviews (Phase 2)
  • March 2026: Admission jury
  • April 2026: Publication of admission results
  • September 2026: Start of courses

As far as you are concernend, the admission process for the MITRA Master’s program will follow three steps:

  1. Submission of applications online (Phase 1).

    • Administrative validation: verification of the completeness and validity of applications

    • Pre-selection of applications

    • Invitation to oral interviews sent to pre-selected candidates

  2. Oral interviews via Zoom with pre-selected candidates (Phase 2).

  3. Publication of results for both selected and non-selected students

Important:

  • Applications are open each year from October to January, oral interviews take place from February, and results are published at the end of March.
  • Incomplete applications will not be considered.

Selection criteria

The elements that will be taken into account by the selection committee are as follows:

  • Coherence and quality of academic background (CV, diplomas, transcripts, etc.)

  • Overall motivation of the candidate for the MITRA program

  • Relevance and rigor of the research project or professional internship

  • Proficiency in both French and English (from B2 to C2 level in each language)
